Hello everyone! First and foremost we would like to thank anyone who has played Potted Pets so far! Your support means the world to us. As a thanks, We’d like to announce our first ever update for the game: PUTTING DOWN ROOTS!

What's new!

• Plants
  • Two new categories of plants! Trees and Succulents. 
    • Trees take a lot longer to grow but reap great rewards once they've reached full size
    • Succulents will help you take care of your various tasks around the garden by doing some of them for you
  • Plants can now rot!
    • If left unharvested for too long a grown plant will rot causing it to be worth a fraction of its selling price.
• Pots
  • Two new kinds of pots, the Stone Pot and the Glass Pot! 
    • The stone pot is a much larger, more stoic pot, allowing it to house bigger plants, like the new trees!
    • The glass pot is a tiny canine helper that can house a couple types of succulent plants. 
• Plots
  • We’ve added a whole new feature to the game that allows you to purchase more land and expand your garden indefinitely! On top of that we’ve also added new kinds of plots you can unlock and purchase.
    • The Water Plot!
      • The water plot comes with all new fruits and trees that can only be planted in the water plot
      • It has some special effects and defects on the plants and pots grown there which we’ll let you discover for yourself
• Saving
  • We’ve added save data to the game! You can now quit your potted pets game and then return by hitting the load game button. This feature is experimental when it comes to working on web builds like on Itch.io so let us know what you guys think!

What’s different!

• All new backgrounds, recolored assets, animations, and sound effects!
• Pots will jump to help indicate when a plant can be grown in them
• The game can now be paused and quit, and we have a starting menu screen
• Money can now overflow into the 100,000’s
